O BEUC (ou GEUC), Gabinete Europeu das Uniões de Consumidores, é uma federação de 34 organizações de consumidores nacionais e independentes na Europa. O seu papel consiste em influenciar, no interesse dos consumidores, o desenvolvimento da política da União Europeia, assim como promover e defender os interesses de todos os consumidores.

BEUC, the European Consumers Organisation, represents 34 consumer organisations, from all EU countries as well as accession countries.

Main consumer demands in relation to genetically modified food:
• Information must be provided on whether a food or food ingredients have been genetically modified
• All ingredients derived from GMOs (such as oil) must be labelled even if no longer detectable by testing
• Misleading GMO-free labels are not an acceptable solution for consumers
